On Friday, September 21, 2018, the Puyallup Tribal Veterans have been asked to post the Colors for the Puyallup Tribe’s Inter-Tribal Elders Luncheon. This Luncheon will be held at the Emerald Queen Casino’s Showroom\Event Tent, located at 2024 East 29th Street; Tacoma, WA 98404. We are scheduled to post the colors at 11:00 AM.
Please arrive at least by 10:30 AM.
On Friday, November 9, 2018, Chief Leschi School will be hosting their Annual Veterans Day Assembly in the Gymnasium. Chief Leschi School is located at 5625 52nd Street East, Puyallup, WA 98371. A luncheon is served to veterans at noon and the assembly follows in the gymnasium.
On Saturday, November 10, 2018, the Puyallup Tribal Veterans will be participating in the 53rd Annual Veterans Day Parade in Auburn, Washington. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE WILL BE A VAN AVAILABLE FOR VETERANS TO RIDE IN THAT CANNOT CARRY A FLAG WITH THE COLOR GUARD! This parade is the largest Veterans Day Parade west of the Mississippi River as it boasts nearly 200 units and over 5,500 parade participants, including over 25 high school marching bands, military vehicles, veterans’ units, honor guards and more.
More information will be made available regarding times to arrive and available transportation to the parade location closer to this event date.
On Sunday, November 11, 2018, The Puyallup Tribe and the Puyallup Tribal Veterans Committee will hold a ceremony at the Puyallup Tribal Veterans Memorial Wall at 10:30 am. This ceremony will be located in front of Takopid Health Center, located at 2209 East 32nd Street; Tacoma, WA 98404.
On Monday, November 12, 2018, the Puyallup Tribe of Indians will be hosting their Annual Veterans Luncheon in the Chinook Ballroom at the EQC Fife Ballroom & Conference Center; 5580 Pacific Hwy. East; Fife, WA 98404. All Tribal Veterans are invited to this event.
Lunch will be served at 11:00 am.
Please wear your Pendleton Grateful Nations vest as we will be taking a group picture.
The uniform for these events will be black trousers, black shoes, long sleeve white shirt, our white Tribal Veterans ball cap and the Pendleton Grateful Nation Vest that we wear to all Tribal Veteran events (please see the picture to the left).
