Last month nearly 50 people gathered together at the Tacoma Spaghetti Factory to celebrate the recent graduates of the Puyallup Tribal Health Authority’s Tobacco Cessation Program.

Eighteen program graduates and guests came together to celebrate the significant accomplishment of breaking free from tobacco.

Dr. Paul Barnett described the health benefits for those who have quit tobacco as better than any medicine available. He applauded the efforts and success of the graduates.

Judi Ball, the programs Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist gave out certificates, clocks and more than a few hugs!

The Tobacco Cessation program at PTHA has helped hundreds of people quit using tobacco; and offers individual counseling, nicotine replacement and cessation medications and support groups.
