Chief Leschi Elementary held its first student government elections this year!!  Students in grades 4-6 ran for the positions of secretary, vice president and president.  We had many students participate in the primary and general elections.  The candidates ALL ran great campaigns and it was a good learning experience about democracy and government.  When the ballots were cast, three officers were elected:

- President: Michael Roach
- Vice President: Ezereriah Laurenzana
- Secretary: Alicia Pluff

 Students who did not win in the election were invited to participate in the Chief Leschi Elementary Student Council.  With the elected officers, our council members have helped with many projects at our school such as the elder luncheons, the toy drive and our Christmas concert in December.

We look forward to more participation from our student government and developing their leadership and great ideas for our school!!
