Chief Leschi Schools’ 21st Century Afterschool Program has officially begun! Our goal is to provide an opportunity for our staff and students to build and extend meaningful relationships in a safe, structured and nurturing environment.

Students choose from a variety of programs including both enrichment and athletic activities. These programs are exciting and engaging for our students! The MS/HS program includes a variety of activities such as Drum and Dance, Weaving, Pacific Tribal Art, Comics, Culinary, Math Club, Spanish Club, Chess Club, Recycle Club, Leadership, Recreational Club, Sewing and Basement Dwellers Comic Club. The Elementary offers programs such as Food/Nutrition Class, Sewing, Science Club, Drama, Scrapbooking, Girl's Group, and Culture. The athletic programs currently offered are Racket Sports, Basketball, Board Games, Dance, and Cross Country.

Chief Leschi has also partnered with Sylvan Learning Centers to create both a College Prep Academy for seniors, as well as academic tutoring at the Elementary.

Another incredible program we have is the fifth and sixth grade Art Club. They have three eager students from School Of The Arts, Tacoma who are volunteering their time to instruct students in creative projects.

The Afterschool Program has proven to be very beneficial to our Leschi students. We invite all students grades three through 12 to come join the 21st Century Afterschool Program!
