LU LYONS-BRIDGES RECENTLY RELOCATED HER NATURAL HEALING BUSINESS, LYONS’ BRIDGE, TO TACOMA.
For the past seven years, Lu Lyons-Bridges has offered natural healing and therapy options to those seeking alternative forms of healthcare in the Puget Sound region.
Originally based in Yelm, Lu Lyons-Bridges relocated her business, Lyons’ Bridge, to Tacoma’s Dome District about six months ago.
Even though she and her husband, Puyallup Tribal member Mark Bridges, live in Roy, which is much closer to Yelm, she was happy to make the move to Tacoma to accommodate many of her clients, including many Tribal members, who come from Pierce and King counties for her services.
Lu Lyons-Bridges uses traditional Chinese, East Indian and Western herbs, in conjunction with massage, cupping therapy and spiritual healing to help bring her clients’ inner bodies back into balance.
She was first exposed to such types of therapy 25 years ago in Europe. Lu Lyons-Bridges experienced a severe car accident while in Germany and she credits a mixture of herbal remedies, massage and cupping for her full physical recovery.
“It brought me back where I needed to be,” she affirmed.
As a certified herbalist and massage practitioner, Lu Lyons-Bridges believes her services can be a first option, or used in conjunction with, conventional medicine. She noted the benefits and abilities of herbs have been documented in ancient cultures, such as China, for more than 5,000 years.
“Herbs used to be part of our food supply – and they’re not anymore. We’re not eating the roots and leaves that we used to eat and we’re missing a lot of (health-affecting) ingredients.”
For those unfamiliar with the ancient practice of cupping, it is a heated suction procedure that can be used for detoxifying and ridding pathogens from the body. It can also be used in conjunction with massages.
A wide variety of clients visit Lyons’ Bridge for diverse needs: from the ill, to those with long-term health issues, to those who check-in regularly to keep their health and bodies in balance.
“If you need to have that cup of coffee to get yourself out of bed in the morning – you are the perfect person I would like to get my hands on,” she noted.
Lu Lyon-Bridges offers the following services at Lyons’ Bridge: treatment and relaxation massage, herbal consultations, spiritual healing, Reiki, Theta, Lomi Lomi, reflexology treatments, facial rejuvenation and cellulite reduction.
