On Saturday, Oct. 11 PTHA employees and their friends joined hundreds of walkers in the American Diabetes Association “Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes” at Point Defiance Park. Walkers chose either the 1.5-mile or five-mile walk to help bring greater awareness to the disease.
“This is the first year that PTHA has participated in the Step Out walk and I am impressed by the amount of enthusiasm and support from our staff,” said Karol Matson, PTHA Nutritionist and Step Out Team Captain.
The PTHA Team members raised more than $700 to help support the American Diabetes Association’s mission “to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.”
