To my grandmaThanks for being you!

As I look back to tell you good bye,
Because I got to get back to work,
I hate seeing you leave me behind,
I just want to get in your car and just say
let’s take a ride,
Just me and you, Grandma let’s get out of here.
And go some place where there is no pain, no drama,
Some place where everything is ok!
With you holding my hand standing by my side,
I now know everthing is going to be alright!
Every crying moment and lonely night,
I had you there on the phone to tell me
everything will be alright!
Through the ups and downs its all the turned arounds,
You’re the only one I knew to keep me on the ground!
The only one who knew how to keep a secret,
And the one who knew how I really felt inside.
You would always listen and let me get it all out,
And would tell me how you felt
without letting me down!
You would give me a hug and kiss
as the tears would go away!
The tears didn’t fall so fast anymore because you always knew what to say!
And you promised me this…
that I would all soon be ok.
This gave me hope,
That some day the rain will go away, and the sun will make a beautiful new day!
And that I would never be alone,
Forever by my side you will stay.
And when looked into your eyes said I’ll always be there for you too.
Grandma I hope you know I really do love you!
It’s been a little to tough for my heart
to take all this pain,
But when I look to the stars and see your face,
Memories that we share just can’t be erased.
And that gives me strength to move on,
And let things happen as they come my way.
Thank you for the moments that we shared,
For showing the true meaning of the words
love and care,
For always being there I appreciate you.
The meals you cook filled with love and care,
Now the person I am and I have becoming is all because of you.
Even though you are my grandma,
You are like a mother to me too.
Change is constant but you’re constantly in my life,
When I need you
Thanks for being there for me Grandma,
And thanks for being you!
