Sixteen Coaches from Chief Leschi recently attended WIAA Coaches School in Yakima. Coaches school is put on yearly by the WIAA to inform coaches not on the “x’s and o’s” of the game but the rules that govern
interscholastic sports in Washington State.
Sessions included legal duties, off-season coaching, building team concepts, coaching paperwork, underage drinking issues in interscholastic athletics, effective communication with officials, nutrition, conditioning, injuries, team building basics and many other subjects.
