Students receive recognition

Juniors Michelle Daniels, Sara Deer and Amanda Otis were honored by the American Association of University Women of Washington. The women’s group promotes and recognizes outstanding female students in the areas of engineering, math, technology and science. Chief Leschi’s candidates were honored with twenty other young women from surrounding districts in a ceremony held at Puyallup High School.
Teachers Richard Gamas, Pam Hicks and Sunny Anderson respectively, were chosen by the young women as the teacher that most influenced them academically.
